Letter from the CEO: Udacity to become part of Accenture

By now, you might have heard the big news that Udacity will become part of Accenture! 🚀

Together we will reshape technology learning and training, and impact millions of lives for the better. At Udacity, this marks a significant milestone in our journey to forge futures in tech. To learn more about this exciting announcement, you can view the full press release.

Please note that the transaction is not yet completed, and both companies will remain independent until closing. Completion of this acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including required antitrust clearances.

This will be an exceptional combination of two companies that deeply understand and create value for customers and partners. Since day one, Udacity has been singularly obsessed with driving meaningful outcomes for our learners. I’ve seen firsthand how our impactful and cutting-edge tech education unlocks the vast potential of individuals, companies – even countries – in a matter of months.

With this announcement, we embark on a new chapter in forging the future of tech. Joining forces with Accenture will allow us to amplify our mission on a global scale and reach even more learners to help them acquire the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy.

By combining Udacity’s innovative learning platform with Accenture’s deep industry expertise and extensive network, we expect to accelerate the development of new programs and initiatives that address evolving client needs.

I want to express my gratitude to our incredible team, whose dedication and passion have made this possible. We will continue to push the boundaries of online education.

To our learners: thank you for your ongoing commitment and trust. We will continue to earn that trust – putting essential skills into the hands of people who create new productivity, innovation, and economic opportunity across the globe – at even greater scale, with Accenture.

I’d also like to address what this means for Udacity’s valued customers and partners, who played such a big role in getting us to this milestone. I’ve had many customers ask what this announcement means for them, so I’ve summarized the details into these four key points:

  • Enhanced Resources: With the backing of Accenture, we will have access to greater resources, technology, and expertise, allowing us to invest more in product development, customer support, and innovation.
  • Expanded Offerings: You can look forward to an expanded range of products and services designed to address your evolving needs. We are committed to continuously improving and adding value to our offerings.
  • Continued Excellence: Our commitment to delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and customer service remains unchanged. You can continue to expect the same high standards that you have come to know and trust from us.
  • Smooth Transition: We are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure a seamless transition for our customers. There will be no interruption to your service, and you can continue to rely on us as your trusted partner.

To our customers, I’d like to add that we look forward to continuing our journey together and to delivering even greater outcomes to you in the future.

For anyone who is not a Udacity customer yet, please contact us and we’ll schedule some time to talk about your upskilling needs. Our team is ready to learn more about how our learning solution can drive real business outcomes for you.
